Wow, that is lovely! The interesting thing about knitting and crochet is that you can make shapes that would require seaming to make out of fabric. Like 2 identical circles linked to each other.

K-Line

What a gorgeous, imaginative and hopeful knit. xo

Julie

This is simply beautiful. Now I want one too!

Patti

Beautiful, Mardel!

Susan Partlan

I know nothing of knitting but can tell this captured your imagination. Thank you.

GingerR

It's a big ruffle :)

Rubiatonta

Lovely! Thank you for sharing this marvel with us...

Sending warm wishes from Madrid.

Rosemary Griffin

Absolutely stunning. I haven't used a Stephen West pattern yet but hopefully this year I will.

Tina

Been thinking of you today and how we do not hear from you much anymore. I know things are trying, but check in so I know you are OK. Even though we have never met, I feel like I know you..only in blogland, I guess. Take care of yourself.

materfamilias

Tina said exactly what I wanted to. Take care.
(gorgeous scarf and I can just imagine how satisfying it would have been to knit!)

Lisa

Very beautiful. Sorry for your fog, wishing you well.

Duchesse

Exquisite, and to think you *made* that!

Tiffany

Oh my goodness, that is absolutely beautiful.

My Photo

  • I used to think of myself as continually distracted, but that is far from the truth. The truth is that I find the world to be filled with fascinating things that capture my attention. When I am doing something I love, be it reading a book, listening to music, sewing, knitting, learning something new, or just daydreaming, I am so totally focused that the intrusion of the world comes as something of a shock. There are so many things pulling at my hearstrings, so many things in which to lose myself, so many things tempting away from my one true passion ..... of the moment. I want to explore them all. Despite these changing passions, there are some constants in my affections: sewing, knitting, style and clothing, music, food. These are the main topics I will consider here, although there will be digressions and explorations as well.
