Little bits of color started to appear last week.
The days were warm, in the 70s.
It is only March. I am sure there are several cold days remaining. After all, our last frost date isn't until mid-May.
Of course, we all hope that the warm weather is here to stay, that this will be our reward for putting up with last summer which was cold. It has not escaped my attention that this past week was warmer than most of last summer.

The bloom in that second photo looks so amazingly exotic that it almost looks like plumes from a rare bird. Really beautiful. Hope you are enjoying the beginning of Spring!

Such pretty photos! I was looking forward so much to my mini irises, but they're planted outside the fence and with the dog no longer there to shoo them away, the deer decided I had planted a buffet. I'm crossing my fingers, but not holding my breath, that the species tulips might be left to bloom . . . Your irises are so delicate, thanks for sharing them.
